Description
The Auburn E5-FRS-4-6 6″ flame rod with 1/4” NPT mounting for use in HVAC systems, such as gas-fired furnaces and boilers. This part serves the purpose of a flame sensor and works on the principle of ionization to sense the presence of a flame. When the gas valve is opened, the flame rod produces a low-level DC through the flame to indicate ignition. In the absence of flame, it instantly cuts off the gas supply making it more secure besides discouraging the emergence of wrong conditions. Advantages are accurate flame identification, minimized danger of gas emission, and increased effectiveness of heating equipment. The flame rod which is responsible for detecting the pilot circuit conducts needs to be checked frequently to keep running efficiently and to last longer when in use in HVAC systems.
