Description
The Bradford White 415-47846-05 Spark Ignition Pilot Assembly is an essential part of gas water heaters used in HVAC systems that supply hot water. This assembly eliminates the conventional standing pilots and includes a better spark ignition system. This causes a spark to ignite a gas which in turn starts up the burner when hot water is required. This does away with the constant use of gas by a standing pilot, hence conserving energy. Advantages include the reduced risk of gas leaks from extinguished pilots, assured ignition for continuous hot water supply, and easier installation than some pilot assemblies of old designs.
