The Caleffi 502243A High Capacity Air Vent 1/2” NPT effectively removes air from hydronic heating and cooling systems, which increases their performance. As air accumulates, the float within the valve rises and triggers the vent. When air is cleared, the float drops, and the vent is automatically closed, and the system pressure is maintained. Usually fitted in boilers, radiators, and chilled water systems, it enhances flow and reduces sound.
