The Caleffi 551008A Discal Air Separator is an essential tool for hydronic heating and cooling systems as it serves to remove air continuously trapped in the system. It has a 1-1/2” NPT connection to effectively de-gas the liquid and improve circulation of de-aerated water to the system. This separator uses various physical phenomena; it has a part that encourages bubble fusion and floats to the top and is released automatically. It achieves this by ensuring that right water flow is maintained while at the same time minimizing noise, corrosion and mechanical damage hence its suitability in HVAC system applications. It has a high air discharge capacity hence enhances the efficiency and duration of the system.
