The Carrier 06NA660011 is an unloader solenoid valve, which is an essential part of the HVAC system Unloader solenoid valves are used to protect the compressor during start and stop conditions. When the HVAC system is off, the valve opens and thus lowers pressure inside the compressor crankcase. That is because it helps to reduce pressure on the specific compressor parts and hence the wear out. At start up, the valve shuts and compressor works as it is supposed to do so in normal circumstances.
