Description
The Carrier 08-2205-00 is the Flame Rollout Switch reset for Carrier gas furnaces. It is normally a closed switch most of the time. This means it has a free flow of electrical current under normal circumstances. However, if the furnace has a dangerous condition such as flame rollout from the burner, the switch opens to cut the power to the furnace. It eliminates possible fires or even cases of overheating of the devices. The switch reset button must be pressed by hand to return the power on and let the furnace begin again.
