The Carrier 10084201 Thermal Cut Out Fuse interrupts the flow of electricity when the temperatures are above 110°C/ 230°F to prevent overheating of components. It is a temperature-sensitive component that closes its circuit when the set limit is achieved and closes or needs to be replaced when conditions are restored to normal. It is mounted on heat-generating components like motors, or heat exchangers and is mounted in housings or clips that make thermal contact.
