Description
The Carrier AS22EP286 is a top/front plate strike, a relatively minor part that is considered to be the most typical one in Carrier HVAC equipment. Though without more details about the arrangement of the unit, one may be hard-pressed to define precisely where it is, plate strikes for instance are used to join two pieces of sheet metal. Think of a thin strip of metal, with two faces where the edge of the strip has tabs or hooks on one side that interlock with those of the other face of the strip. These tabs or hooks engage the metal sheets they are meant to join and make for a strong joint where they connect.
