Description
Carrier EA36YD067 is the thermostatic expansion valve used in commercial refrigerant air conditioning and refrigeration systems. It regulates amount of refrigerant permitted to enter the evaporator coil in order to allow as much as needed to the coil for cooling. The TXV has a bi-metal spring, which changes its size in response to temperature changes. The decrease in temperature in the evaporator case opens the spring, thus admitting more refrigerant into it. An increase in temperature results in the closing of the spring and therefore decreasing the flow of the refrigerant.
