The Carrier HH22HA060 is a safety switch called an outside air temperature switch for Carrier HVAC systems. This switch is small enough to fit into the palm of your hand measures 1” by 2.6” and is a crucial component in the protection of your system and the management of your system performance according to the temperature outside. It has pre-set thresholds in cold weather depending on the set point, the switch can prevent the compressor from running until the outside air temperature is safe to prevent any damage. During summer, the switch might enhance the system to operate for dehumidification or regulate heating depending on the outside air temperature.
