Description
The Carrier HH680351 is a limit switch used in Carrier HVAC products, particularly air conditioners or refrigerators. This switch is about 2 inches long, 1.5 inches wide, and 1 inch high. This is pre-set for a certain temperature range often between 220°F and 20°F. When the temperature inside the HVAC unit rises to 220°F, the switch turns off the electricity to avoid overheating and compressor or other component failure. It is cold and if it gets below the low side of the temperature limits (20°F), the switch could also cut off power depending on the system configuration of the heater.
