Description
The Carrier HH79NZ077 Thermistor –(OAT/OCT) is a small sensor and is used in Carrier HVAC systems. Unlike the common temperature measuring instruments such as mercury or alcohol thermometers, a thermistor is a resistor whose electrical resistance alters with temperature. This sensor can measure the outside air temperature or the outside coil temperature. This information is helpful to the system to adjust the changes in its operation if any are required. It helps in doing functions like heating, cooling, and defrosting the car besides offering accurate and timely control of the climate inside the car for the whole year.
