Description
The Carrier HK25DJ003 is a time delay relay, a small device used in HVAC systems to prevent rapid compressor cycling. When the compressor shuts off and on too rapidly, the system gets stressed and it will wear out faster. This gives pressure in the system just before the compressor restarts time to equalize before compressor restart while ensuring a smoother operation. This particular time delay relay is designed for use with 115 volt electrical systems commonly found in residential HVAC equipment and is compact measuring 3.2″ on all sides.
