Description
The Carrier HT32TC205 is an essential piece called a crankcase heater for Carrier HVAC equipment that contains crankcases, it is probable that compressors in refrigerators or large air conditioning equipment. Located at the center of the engine this long and wide heating element is used to keep the crankcase warm during start-up or when the temperature is low. It is a little more than 8 feet long 97.5 inches and can be wound around a crankcase up to 8.5 inches wide. When energized it produces heat which warms the oil in the crankcase. The heater preheats the crankcase oil to allow easier startup, especially during the cold seasons thus relieving the high-powered compressor of a lot of work.
