The Carrier KSBTX0401PUR is a Thermostat Expansion Valve kit developed for HVAC systems with a tonnage range of 4 to 5. This kit is helpful in controlling the circulation of the refrigerant in the system. Due to the precise determination of the refrigerant using this kit, the performance and efficiency of the system are enhanced. It is designed for R-410A refrigerant, which is used in the current air conditioning systems as it is commonly used. In operation, the TXV reacts to changes in temperature inside the evaporator coil. When the coil is cool, the TXV throttles the flow of the refrigerant to avoid overcooling and damaging the system.
