Description
The Carrier P506-8H48 is a high acid and water removal core to protect Carrier HVAC systems using CFC and HCFC refrigerants. It connects to refrigerant lines by sweat or braze connections. HVAC systems do not like moisture and acid. Water in the refrigerant lines can freeze and reduce efficiency and may even damage the system. Refrigerant breakdown also produces acidic byproducts that can corrode system components and thereby shortens system life. This deals with these threats directly by including a desiccant agent that captures moisture and acid from the refrigerant effectively as it passes through the system.
