Description
The Cleveland Controls NS2-1087-00 Air pressure switch is applied in the HVAC system for measuring and regulating airflow. This switch measures the difference in pressure across two points, usually across a filter or between two points in a duct. When the pressure difference is at a given set value, the switch closes an electrical circuit which can indicate to a control system, turn on or off a fan or sound an alarm. Many systems, including air handling units, rooftop systems and furnaces require this functionality to maintain the airflow and minimize problems related to insufficient airflow as for instance or inefficient heating and cooling. Advantages include increased system effectiveness, easy filter checking with a view of replacement, and safety from equipment damage as a result of airflow issues.
