Description
The Cleveland Controls RFS-4300-111 Low Air-Flow Switch is used to monitor and act upon low airflow conditions in different HVAC systems. This switch has a range of 0.15” to 2” water column and uses a diaphragm-type element to measure the pressure of air. Whenever the airflow falls below a certain level, the diaphragm flexes and makes the switch’s electrical contacts. This signal can then be used to activate alarms, to start one or many processes to correct the situation, and to shut down a given piece of equipment to avoid further damage or inefficiency. It mainly finds its application in various HVAC uses where air handling, fan coil units, rooftop units, and VAV boxes occur frequently.
