The Copeland 918-0054-00 Crankcase Heater Kit that prevents oil contamination and refrigerant movement in the compressor crankcase thereby improving the efficiency as well as reliability of HVACs and refrigeration systems. To ensure that this oil remains liquid and within recommended temperature range the heater kit which runs on 120V AC is fitted on to compressor crank cases. This ensures that mixing of oil with refrigerant is avoided so as not to cause harm to a compressor or reduce its performance.
