Description
The Honeywell Analytics E3SRMM is a remote sensor specifically designed to detect methane (CH4) gas leaks. It is a component of the E3Point gas detection system, which is made up of replaceable sensor modules for different types of gas and a central control unit. The E3SRMM itself continuously detects the presence of methane in the surrounding air using an electrochemical or catalytic detection mechanism. The sensor notifies the E3Point control unit of an alarm when the amount of methane in the air rises above predetermined safety thresholds. This alert includes visual and auditory cues, as well as possible actions such as equipment shutdown.This remote sensor is perfect for using with different HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems, especially in those that use natural gas as fuel. Furnaces and industrial boilers are typical examples.
