Description
The Honeywell Analytics SPXCDXSCXSS is a carbon monoxide sensor developed for use in an array of HVAC equipment. It uses electrochemical sensor technology named Surecell to determine CO levels ranging from 0 to 500 parts per million. This sensor operates by measuring the electrical current generated when CO molecules collide with the sensor’s internal chemicals. The SPXCDXSCXSS delivers multiple advantages to HVAC systems. First, it enhances safety by continually monitoring for CO leaks, which can be deadly. If CO levels exceed safe limits, the sensor raises an alarm or triggers extra security measures established in the HVAC system. Additionally, it helps ensure optimum performance of the system by ensuring sufficient combustion while decreasing incomplete burning, which might produce CO and decrease productivity.
