Description
The Johnson Controls DPT2640-0R1B is a low differential pressure transducer that is used to measure low differential pressures in HVAC systems. Such small pressure differences are frequently vital in maintaining the right flow of air and temperature regulation in a structure. The transducer functions in such a way that pressure measurements in the range of -0.1 to 0.1” W.C. is converted to an equivalent 0-5 volt DC electrical signal. It is then sent to building automation systems that in turn control comfort levels of HVAC equipment within the building. For example, they can be used to measure pressure on air filters. When a filter is fouled, the pressure drop across it rises.
