Description
The Johnson Controls TE-6001-2 Housing Outside Air Temperature Sensor is a sturdy metallic cased sensor capable of accurate measurement of outside air temperature in numerous HVAC and building automation systems. A highly accurate resistance temperature detector or RTD thermistor element is housed within the metal casing of this and all other temperature sensors. The state of the thermistor or the RTD alters with temperature, voltage or current respectively, depending upon the kind of sensor used; the sensor establishes the variations of the air temperature round the bulb. Then by acquiring this data building management systems and HVAC controllers can change the air flows, heating , cooling etc. as required.
