The Johnson Controls TE-6300-617 Probe Sensor Element is a special part for accurate temperature measurement in HVAC systems. This cylindrical, three”-long, platinum probe sensor element has a total resistance of 1000 Ohms. The goal of this work is accurate temperature control in a range of HVAC applications. According to the manufacturer, the predictable characteristic of changes in the electrical resistance of platinum is the basis for the operation of the TE-6300-617. Likewise, the drift current of the platinum element depends on the temperature and, therefore, the resistance also in proportion to temperature.
