Description
The Johnson Controls VFC-030HB-340C is a 3-way, 175 psi butterfly valve that is fully modulating with a nice clutch handle to control the fluid in industrial HVAC units such as a chilled water system or condenser water loop. Compared with a 2-way valves that only restrict the flow in one direction, a 3 way valve is able of manipulating flows in 3 completely different paths. The VFC-030HB-340C uses a 2 position/return pneumatic actuator. Think of an air signal as being like a switch; when turned on it causes the valve to open on to one flow path the most of the times. This valve works adequately for moderate flow rate and has a Cv ranging from 267.
