Description
The Johnson Controls VFN-030HB-001A is a pneumatic actuated butterfly valve designed for use on hot and chilled water HVAC applications. It has two ports, hence it can regulate flow in one direction or the other depending on the design. A disc is mounted concentrically within the valve, and when pressure is supplied by a distinct pneumatic actuator, flow is controlled. This air pressure regulates or acts on the valve depending on the signal of the control system. The N/O marking means that the valve stays open when the air pressure is off, which is a safety measure whenever the air supply is off. It is constructed from hard-wearing materials, can handle pressures of up to 175 PSI, and has a pipe size of 3″ for adequate flow rates.
