Description
A pneumatic reset volume controller for variable air volume terminal units in HVAC systems is the KMC Controls CSC-2007. It functions as a sub-master, keeping the airflow within predetermined bounds in response to a master signal, usually received from a room thermostat. Using typically open Variable Air Volume units, this “direct acting” variant controls air volume between 0 and 1 inch of the water column by setting a damper. The minimum and maximum airflow may be easily adjusted with separate knobs, guaranteeing the best possible comfort and energy economy. Benefits include lower energy consumption by eliminating superfluous air supply, enhanced temperature stability, and accurate regulation of airflow. This adaptable controller improves comfort and system performance by integrating smoothly into a variety of HVAC systems.
