The Lennox X5422 is a MERV 11 pleated air filter which is aimed to help filter out dust, pollen and other allergens within your home’s HVAC system. Compared to flat filters, therefore, it has a better pleated structure that creates more surface area to help with holding particles, enhancing IAQ. It is a fact that while fresh air passes through your HVAC system, this filter is responsible for capturing dust, pet dander and other airborne particles. This keeps them away from your living space and thus one cannot be exposed to the effects of an allergy or respiratory problems. The MERV 11 is that it is capable of trapping particles of a middle size, which are 1.0 microns and more.
