The Lochinvar & A.O. Smith 100187880 Stainless Steel Heat Shield is designed to shield sensitive parts of gas-fired heating and water heating equipment from heat that is too much. Mainly it is fitted in between the burner and the heat exchanger the primary role of this assembly is to protect as well as to spread heat in a much better way. This heat shield is constructed from stainless steel and therefore will endure a great deal of heat and rust. This is designed especially for products manufactured by Lochinvar and A.O. Smith, for instance, boilers, furnaces, and water heaters.
