The Resideo Q4100C9062 Silicon Carbide Hot Surface Ignition provides dependable lighting for gas-fired heating systems in residential and commercial HVAC systems. It works in a way that the silicon carbide igniter is heated to a high temperature to ignite the gas. Originally operating at 120V, the igniter glows red-hot to ignite the fuel in compatible systems effectively. It is easy to install and comes with a bracket, screw and wiring accessories with lead length of 5.25 inches. Advantages are increased energy density, decreased chances of ignition failure, and because the electrodes are metallic, the batteries will not corrode, and they can endure high temperatures.
