The Resideo Q4100C9072 Silicon Carbide HSI is designed to provide durable ignition for gas-fired systems in residential and commercial HVAC systems and to provide efficient startup. It produces a high degree of heat to ignite the gas, and it is safe. The silicon carbide element is heated by 120V, and upon the passage of electrical current through the lead wires, it ignites. With a lead length of 5.313 inches and including bracket, screw and wiring accessories, it is easily installed in place of standard igniters.
