Description
The Schneider Electric (Square D) LRD35 Overload Relay monitors motor current and opens its contacts when an overload condition causes the sensing mechanism to respond. The thermal sensing elements react to increased current and actuate the relay contacts to remove the motor control signal. The relay mounts within the electrical control section and connects to contactors, motors, and control wiring through its terminals. This overload arrangement protects motor circuits during operating conditions that produce excessive current in HVAC systems. Its Class-20 trip feature and 30/38 amplification range establish the electrical response for compatible motor-control applications.
