Description
The Trane ELM0865 is a replacement heating element used in commercial and industrial HVAC systems especially electric heating systems. It transmits electrical energy into heat through discharge of a current through the resistive substance. In other words, when current passes through the element, the element opposes the current, and as a result becomes hot. This heat is then used to warm the air going through the HVAC unit in order to warm the place. The Trane operates at 480 voltage and has the capacity to produce a maximum power of 18000 watts (kW) and thus suitable for large spaces that require high heating. Due to its small dimensions of 3/4”, the product can be installed in appropriate heating systems without any considerable alterations.
