The Trane VAL2370 is a Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) manufactured for use in Trane HVAC systems, most often in 3-ton equipment. This valve is essentialin controlling the flow of refrigerant in the system. It can be better described as a pressure-controlled gatekeeper. Through the detection of the temperature and pressure of the refrigerant, the TXV controls the opening so that the right amount of refrigerant will circulate through the evaporator coil.
