Description
The Trane VAL2946 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is an essentialelement of the Trane air conditioning system and a length of 7.8 inches slightly more than the width. The TXV uses a thermal-actuated sensor bulb and a capillary tube to regulate the refrigerant that flows through the system according to the condition of the evaporator coil. This way, there is maximum space for the air to cool and the coil is not likely to freeze up. This construction includes sweat connections for simple installation, and a 30” capillary tube for better penetration in your system. Made out of stainless steel for extra lasting power it is intended for use with R-22 refrigerant and works up to pressures of 500 PSI.
