Description
The United Electric J21K-254-1520 is a differential pressure switch, which is a critical component in many Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems. This keeps an eye on the pressure differential between two sites in the system to serve as a safety precaution. This enables it to identify problems such as large fluctuations in air flow or blocked filters. This is how it operates: Each of the two internal chambers of the switch is connected to a different system pressure point. The switch initiates an electrical signal when the pressure differential between these places surpasses a predetermined threshold, which may be adjusted in this model between 0 and 90 PSI. This signal can be used to sound an alarm, turn off machinery, or start corrective measures to stop any further damage.
