Description
A low-water cut-off control unit with an electronic design, the Xylem-McDonnell & Miller PSE-801-120 153827 is intended to protect steam boilers from potentially hazardous low water levels. It monitors water conductivity using a probe, and when levels drop below a predetermined point, the gadget automatically turns off the boiler’s burner to avoid overheating and damage. This 120-volt device has a test switch, an LED indication for easy status monitoring, and an automated reset. Its small size, 3/4″ MIP connections, and 2-1/8″ probe allow for simple installation in a range of steam boiler uses. Its maximum water temperature of 250°F and pressure of 15 psi also guarantee compatibility with the majority of residential and commercial boilers.
