The York S1-3024-3111 Isolation Relay is an essential component of HVAC systems which increases safety and minimizes electrical issues. It also serves as an electrical insulator, it literally disconnects the low voltage control circuit from the high voltage power circuit of the HVAC equipment. It reduces the probability of technicians getting a shock while fixing the control system and shields the electronic components from destructive power fluctuations. The relay is of electromagnetic induction type. Upon receipt of a control signal, an internal coil is energized and magnetic field is produced. It is this magnetic field that pulls a movable armature which in turn makes contact between the control circuit and the power circuit.
